Keep It Jewish / Shabbat in a box FlashMob

Тhe Keep it Jewish 2.0 project or Shabbat in a Box is a new way to bring Shabbat home. We encourage our JCC members to  take an active part in the project by inviting guests, preparing the Shabbat table and welcoming Shabbat with their family and friends. JCC Tallinn provides a Shabbat set with the most necessary things, making it simple to celebrate Shabat at home.

The project is organized with the support of EFI (Educating for Impact).

Listen up! Listen up! Listen up!

Listen to the Jewish tales!

They are all recorded with love and are voiced by members of our family - our community.

These are the same tales that Yemenite, French, Iraqi, Moroccan and Polish Jewish parents or grandparents have been telling and continue to tell to Jewish children for many centuries in a vast area from Eastern Europe to the Middle East.

These fairy tales are the gateway to our past, they contain the wisdom and traditions of our ancestors, who had hard times, and in order to overcome them, they told each other those fairy tales.

Some story plots contain characters of kings and queens, princes and princesses, witches and sorcerers and are known all over the world. Others - feature resourceful Jews who are always inventing ways to outsmart evil spirits, where a wise king or a Rabbi finds a fair solution to the problems - you will recognize purely Jewish motives.
Many fairy tales are filled with magic, sometimes they are scary tales, and sometimes they are funny and naive. But in all these fairy tales, higher powers help the Jews and miraculously protect and support them in difficult times.
